Holes: A Different Outcome?
September 29, 2008 | Tagged Holes | 16 Comments
I want you to think back to an earlier part of the book…
When Zero offered to dig part of Stanley’s hole, Stanley finally agreed to teach Zero how to read and write. They spent a fair amount of time together before Zero smashed the shovel into Mr. Pendanski’s face and ran away.
In my opinion, the time Zero and Stanley spent together was VERY important for both of them. I have two questions I want you to comment on:
- Do YOU think the time they spent together was important?
- Why or why not?

Now pretend you are Stanley. Why would you want to give it to X-Ray when you are the one who found it?
